Hong Kong at about 21.00 hours same day when the Police
boarded to get particulars. Several members of the crew were taken ashore for enquiries, work on board was impossible owing to all lamps having been stolen by the pirates.
The pirates landed from their boats in the bay
which is immediately west of the northern coast line of Sam
Long and proceeded up a valley which apparently lead the two hills marked on the chart as "Pirate's Fort". Cargo, money,
jewellery, clothing and ship's fittings to the value of
$4,485.20 was stolen.
